from Mexicali, Mexico.
I studied at the Autonomous
University of Baja California, and I received my Bachelor of Science in Language
Teaching. I have been teaching English and Spanish for seven years. I moved to
San Diego in 2010 and I followed my passion for teaching. I like to have fun
and keep a good conversational environment in class.

I was educated in Guadalajara, Mexico where I obtain a B.A., degree in Secondary Education at NSNG, Guadalajara. After graduation from NSNG, I obtained Montessori preschool/kindergarten certification, an internationally accepted approach to early childhood education in Monterrey, Mexico.
My background in education includes 20 years of teaching Spanish to students from preschoolers to adults. I operated a Montessori preschool in Guadalajara, Mexico for 6 years before marrying an American and moving to Anchorage, Alaska where I continued teaching Spanish to preschoolers and adults for 7 years. Recently, we moved to beautiful San Diego and I was fortunate to be offered a position with the Spanish Institute. Welcome to my class!

Jacqueline. I’m from Sinaloa, México. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Language
Teaching by Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa. I am also a certified language
instructor by University of Cambridge. I have an extensive experience teaching
many aspects of Spanish and English to children, adolescents and adults with different
academic levels at schools and universities in México.
I like my classes to be fun
and dynamic for learners to have a positive learning environment. I also
encourage them to use every day conversational topics to develop as much as
possible their speaking skills. Best of all, if you are interested in learning
about the culture, I usually incorporate cultural and historical components
into the curriculum to diversify and expand learning outcomes.

she has developed her ability to transmit elements of the Hispanic
culture, using the Communicative Method with a task based focus and
under the guidelines of The Common European Framework of Reference for
Languages (CEFR). Her classes, tutoring, and workshops are focused on
developing the student's conversational skills without losing attention
to reading, writing, listening, grammar, and vocabulary acquisition.
